My name is Cara and I am happy that you are here. I am a Certified Trauma Therapist and I believe in order for therapy to be effective it needs to be tailored according to my client’s needs. I do not use a one size fits all approach rather, my clients are the experts on their own lived experiences. Therapy is an individual journey, my role is to help clients identify their goals and help guide clients to accomplishing them.
I use psychodynamic therapy, CBT, CPT, EMDR, Family Systems, IFS, Motivational Interviewing, Reality Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Strength Based.
I work with the following populations: Adults & Matured Adults; those living with Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Depression, Anxiety, Survivors of Domestic Violence, Sexual Abuse & Trafficking
FAQs
How long are sessions? Individual sessions are 45 minutes long and couples sessions are 1 hour
What is your rate? Individual sessions are $250 and Couples is $300
Do you accept insurance? I am an out-of-network provider and can give a superbill to be submitted to your insurance company.
What if I need to cancel my appointment? Should you need to cancel your appointment 24 hours prior notice is required.
About Me
Cara London, LCSW obtained her Masters Degree from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work. She is a certified in Trauma Therapy by the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy. Additionally, Cara is IFS Level 1 Certified by the IFS Institute and EMDR Level 1 Certified by EMDR of the Rockies.
Cara has 14 years of experience working with survivors of sexual abuse, domestic violence and sex trafficking through organizations and hospital settings. She has extensive experience working with those living with Bipolar and Schizophrenia through her years working as a Psychiatric social worker at Queens Hospital and Gracie Square. In addition to her private practice Cara is the Coordinator of Courage to Heal at the Sephardic Bikor Holim. A program dedicated to serving survivors of sexual abuse.
